In January, our two green conures realized they were indeed male and female (after three years) and decided to get busy. Two of the babies from the clutch survived. From my crash course on conures it seems it's typical for the entire clutch to be infertile so we lucked out.
A couple of months later our tortiseshell snuck out of the house...and returned pregnant. It only takes one time girls, remember that! So now we have four birds and a preggo cat roaming the house. In May, the day I had carpal tunnel surgery on my hand, I helped Taco give birth to her six kittens.
